Day 18

GOD IS GOOD! ALL THE TIME! Today was not an exception!

Today is a holiday for Muslims - Freetown is somewhat at a standstill - very little traffic - today is the day the celebrate the offering of Isaac by Abraham (confusing as that is). However, we had a good number of about 20 at our study today. Real good discussion - these classes have really been good and the ones participating are learing and Christian and Theopolis are doing a good job of assisting us.

We will not have another blog until early next week after we get home. That will be a blog that will wrap up this trip with some comments from all four us that participated. I would just like to say "THANK YOU" on behalf of the four of us who came over and taught in the Freetown area this year. We could not have done this without God's grace and your prayers and support. Giant steps were taken this year and many BIG obstacles were overcome - again God has blessed the work on this trip and we have seen increase both in the new ones baptized but also in the breakthrough of those of the institutional persuasion - yet I must remind you that the war is not over and the battle will go on - everytime someone comes over from the states new obstacles will arise (that is just how Satan works). Yet, if we do not continue to assist in the work here - the strong will grow weary - our focus has to be to uphold those that are fighting in the trenches for the Lord in the Freetown area and to do that they will need our assistance.

We will be out of touch now for about two days as we go to teach tomorrow and then the long - hot and very tiring trip to the airport and then on to London. Jimmy and I are so looking forward to the visit to the British Musuem. Our hearts will be full of mixed emotions - sorry to leave with so much work to be done here and yet the joy of coming home to our families and our dear brethren in the states - we have learned many things on this trip and we pray that as we leave we have left the folks here with valuable teaching from God's word and that they will now study further the riches of His word.
