Day 8

The group is tired!!!! We went to the Crown Bakery for breakfast and then to the African Market – it was so HOT as all the merchants just surrounded us and smothered us – yet after about an hour we were able to leave after getting things for our families back home. We came back to the hotel for some rest this afternoon – we have a very busy schedule tomorrow (Sunday) and then next week.

It has been a good week – one of the purposes of this trip was to position our future teaching to be one on one and in the congregations that are here. Day classes in the congregations and gospel meetings in the evenings. This has been accepted and now longed for by our brethren here in the Freetown area. We knew when we first came over last year that we would did not want to be long in teaching like we had to at first. We knew that we would have to tolerate to teach to get to the point of where we needed to be – the point of where we could come and edify the saints here to go and teach – we are there it seems – about a year or two earlier than we thought – to God be the glory of this!

There are many new Christians who need to be fed and we see some of that happening. We are so impressed with some men of the congregations started by those of the institutional belief years ago. They are so open to the discussion of human institutions and eager to know more about this. We will be addressing these things next week in our classes. I will tell you there are good hearts here among the brethren and yet they are all at different stages in their growth just like back in the USA.

This will be short blog (I didn'y know Steve knew how to be brief- JAS) – we pray all is well and that all have good worship services Sunday – I know at least four individuals who will be very busy moving from place to place to teach and yet their thoughts will be back home with their home congregations.

Thank all again for the prayers and support – please continue remembering us in your prayers for this next phase of our trip – the teaching at Priscilla Street.
