Victor was baptized today after a study with Steve & gang which took place at Priscilla Street. Victor, you may recall, was one of the most receptive and knowledgeable students last November. We were all impressed by his good heart and depth of Bible knowledge. He also attended every class that Mike Willis and I taught in April of this year. Finally, today Victor approached the team and asked to be baptized.
Victor was a war refuge during the Sierra Leonean Civil War. During that time he had some horrific experiences. Those experiences helped him to take the study of God's Word more seriously and he joined a denomination working faithfully with them. He was resistant to the notion that there could have been anything wrong with his initial baptism, but that wall of resistance has been broken down.
Victor is a dear sweet man. He is diligent in his study, out spoken about his faith and lives his faith everyday. He will be a great addition to the Kingdom of God. He will help open new and exciting doors for the Gospel.
When Steve writes his blog entry for today he will have more to say about Victor and the events of their first day at Priscilla Street. I do not want to steal his thunder, but I must mention that the building was packed and Christians had come from ALL over Sierra Leone.

We thank God for the good hearts of Sierra Leone! Please tell Victor, our new brother in Christ, that we will continue to keep him in our prayers! We will pray for his growth and courage to serve God and teach others the true Gospel!
Thank you all, Steve, John, Jimmy, Dan, Mike and Dan for going to the souls of Sierra Leone and teaching them the pure Gospel of Christ.
You all give us courage to do the same here in the United States, in Indiana, in Greenwood, in the Center Grove community and on our own Peterman Road. Thank you for helping us to make the Lord's work more personal!
